Sarah Reed is the General Counsel at RA Capital Management. She joined MPM as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer in 2014. Sarah comes to MPM with a proven record in the venture capital industry. Among her notable achievements, she has served as the founding chairperson of an industry-wide, NVCA-endorsed initiative to create model venture financing legal documents and received an NVCA Outstanding Contribution to the Venture Industry Award for her services in that arena. Prior to joining MPM, Sarah was General Counsel at Charles River Ventures for over a decade. She has also served as Partner at Lowenstein Sandler, as General Counsel at Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc., and as an associate at Foley, Hoag & Eliot LLP. Sarah holds a B.A. from Harvard College in East Asian studies, is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
