A Deputy Fund Manager in Finance Wales’ technology venture investments team, Paul leads a team of investment executives focused on investing in IP-rich companies. He is an equity specialist with both new and follow-on investment experience. Whilst currently investment cases are principally Technology/Equity based, Paul has prior experience of buy out and development capital deals; he also has exit experience of both Trade Sales and AIM listings, having completed Finance Wales’ first major equity exit (Atlantic Technologies) in 2003. One of our most experienced deal makers, he also puts his analytical and monitoring skills to good use managing and reporting on the performance of Finance Wales’ technology ventures portfolio. Paul has been at Finance Wales since 2002, having previously worked and qualified as an ACA with KPMG where he undertook a wide range of corporate finance and business advisory assignments. He also spent several years at Natwest’s Wales Corporate head office appraising new corporate business opportunities. He graduated from Cardiff with an Economics and Accountancy degree.
