Before joining the SOSventures team in Ireland, Mary acted as international liaison for SOSventures, China. Mary provided marketing advice and logistical support and services to SOSventures portfolio companies doing business in Asia. She also assisted in the day to day running of the Chinaccelerator program, the first mentorship-driven, seed-funding program in China. As a university student, Mary co-founded a organization called “Flowers of the Mountain” which aims at alleviating educational inequalities in rural villages found throughout western China. During that time the group successfully raised enough funds to build a library, a playground and provided a bursary for middle school children enabling them to pursue extra curricular activities. In addition to being a contributor to the University newspaper in Dalian, she received a scholarship to pursue graduate education. She speaks Chinese and English. Mary holds an honors degree in Marketing from the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan. She holds an MBA from the Dalian University of Technology, China. She also holds a MSc honors degree in Financial Economics at University College Cork, Ireland.
