Deb Degillio is president of American Water Enterprises, the market-based products and services division of American Water. Ms. Degillio oversees American Water’s three market-based business units, which offer operations and maintenance contract services, and other innovative solutions to address a variety of challenges facing the industry, across the United States and Canada. Ms. Degillio has 20 years of broad finance experience in the utility and energy sectors, leading teams focused on financial forecasting and analysis, business planning, process improvement and enterprise risk management. She previously served as vice president and treasurer for American Water, where she had responsibility for leading the company’s long-term and short-term financing activities, corporate planning and investment analysis. She also oversaw the investments of employee benefit plan trust assets and lead Enterprise Risk Management efforts. Ms. Degillio joined American Water in 2007 as director of Financial Planning and Analysis, supporting California, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii and was named vice president of the Eastern Division Finance team in 2009. As vice president of the Eastern Division, Ms. Degillio managed a team of over 30 professionals and was responsible for financial analysis and planning, as well as rates strategy and execution for nine states in American Water’s regulated operations. Ms. Degillio also served on American Water Enterprises’ executive management team as the vice president of Finance, and was responsible for business strategy, long-term planning, forecasting, management reporting and driving financial performance. Ms. Degillio has a Master’s of Business Administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree in Math/Statistics and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
